Depth Training CIC has received funding from both the Arts Council and the Heritage Fund for various theatre productions, with the aim of making theatre more accessible to the community while also reimagining how history is presented within the village
Through our theatre strand, peep_depth, we invite audiences to “peep” into history and experience powerful local stories brought to life on stage. Supported by Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund, these productions make theatre more accessible while reimagining how history is shared within the community.

The Story of Jessie Gavin Oxton's First Gentleman
Jack
What sets Jessie Gavin apart is that it was written and directed by Depth Training CIC. This original production is part of our mission to reimagine heritage within the community—bringing local history to life in new and accessible ways.
Through storytelling and performance, we aim to help audiences explore the lives of historical figures, uncover the stories behind Wirral’s heritage landmarks, and shine a light on voices that have long been marginalised. This project marks the beginning of an ongoing commitment to making local history meaningful, inclusive, and engaging for everyone.
